Anirudh Goswami founded BORBHAG Group in 2010 as a youngster who wanted to make a difference and be a harbinger of change & development in the North East Region. At the time, he led a multidimensional team across nine states, implementing projects, that brought pioneering cost effective technologies in Solar, LED lighting- both in urban and rural electrification, and executed the first Solar Lantern project for hundred thousand beneficiaries with no prior access to electricity. The team also supported implementation of projects for setting up transmission lines & sub-stations, urban waste management & waste to energy projects.
Mr. Goswami is also the go to choice for senior management and peers, each of whom respect his intuitive vision, and his proclivity to keep abreast of trends, policies, and emerging issues that impact businesses. Through his consulting and organizational work, Mr. Goswami has assisted private sector multinationals implement government relations strategies, navigating the nuances of Centre – State relations, and take advantage of business opportunities in India. He has also supported senior management in corporate strategy & planning, communications, sustainability initiatives, and corporate social responsibility. Mr. Goswami has expertise in implementation of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and delivery of multi stakeholder collaborations. He started his career in the infrastructure sector, supporting government relations & outreach covering power, rail and road.
At various times in his career, Mr. Goswami has undertaken development initiatives, which led him to found two not for profit organisations. In 2013, Qudsia Bagh Welfare Society – a civil society initiative for the restoration and revival of a 20 acre heritage Mughal garden - Qudsia Bagh. In 2014, The BORBHAG Initiative Society – under the aegis of which - he co-created the first “smart village of North East India” in terrorist infested Baksa District in the state of Assam - which received wide recognition & admiration. Other areas where he has implemented projects include healthcare, education & skill development.
Today, Anirudh Goswami has grown the capabilities of the BORBHAG Group with the same vision and essence. He aspires to profile the Group capabilities and strengths’ as boutique service offerings across Consulting, Legal Services and enabling implementation of projects primarily across healthcare, rural development & conservation of heritage & environment through BORBHAG Foundation.
